Hace unos dias les escribi a los señores de exo-terra para preguntarles cuando debia cambiar mi flourescente http://www.exo-terra.com/es/products/compact_bulbs.php (se supone q dejan de emitir luz ultravioleta). Y esta fue su respuesta:
"The expected life of the various compact fluorescent bulbs is between 5000 - 8000 hours. These are fctory recopmmenedations and they are normally made for more friendly environments rather than the hot,humid ones mostly found in terrariums. As such, the life expectancy for these bulbs in these types of habitats may be a bit shorter. As far as replacement, the bulbs do hold their activity for the life of the bulb, so they should be replaced when they fail.

Lo que mas me sorprende es la ultima frase (la remarcada en negrita) que debo cambiarlo cuando falle, es decir cuando ya no se encienda. Quizas es que este tipo de fluorescente compactos no es como los tubos alargados y estos no pierden sus propiedades.
Alguien sabe algo de esto??
